Restless

I'm sitting restless I guess this is what I get for trying to test this ember in my chest with the flame still lit.
Burns a hole black inside of me and salt stains are pains in my eyes - can't see

In the deep of night I'm lonesome by the see and
I won't sleep tonight, scan my history
How it all began, I guess we'll wait and see
Restless souls rage against heaven indefinitely.

Senses are five but I need six to breathe
Stagger alive, sleep under an olive tree
What's the song that sings beneath the breeze?
Harmony of Spring beyond the freeze.

Eleven at night it brings me to my knees and
Please say it's all right, sleep tight, put me at ease
If I close my eyes will you be there for me?
Alone I drone stone's throw from eternity.

Sitting restless and yes this is what I see
Is this the best this granite planet has to offer me?

Wing is torn, shoulder starts to bleed.
